So hello everyone I'm Shourya from BITS Goa and today we have a Phodu Club mate with us who cleared bits using Phodu Club. So can you just tell us your name where you're from and what all exams did you give and your scores and all of them. My name is Suhan. I am currently in Nagpur Maharashtra. I have given quite a lot of exams almost all the standard ones which every engineering aspirant gives. I gave both attempts of JEE Mains, both attempts of MHT CET. I gave JEE Advanced and both attempts of bits. My best scores in each would be in JEE Mains I had a 97.6 percentile. In JEE Advanced I had a rank of 12,000 and in bits I scored 246. In MHT CET I had my best percentile being 99.34 percentile.
Okay. And before we go ahead, can you just tell us how was your 11th and 12th standard? Like how did you start preparing for J and what all difficulties did you face? Can you just tell us about that?
Right. So up until 12th I was kind of in a town in Telangana. Uh the name was Miral Gura. So for uh 11th I wanted to come back to my hometown because my dad has a job where we shift around a lot. So I came back to my hometown. I joined the coaching. So it was my first time in this uh a larger city you could say. Nagpur isn't that large but relatively it's larger. So I had to adjust for that a little bit. And 11th like most aspirants kind of wasted kind of studied things like that. But as 12th rolled around the teachers got stricter the environment got more competitive. So I studied better in 12th that's it. But 11th to maj. And what do you think was like the low point in your J prep you know point where you felt like let's just quit so if you had any right so around right around October I would say syllabus September October so even before the syllabus was completely done coaching they had started the test series full syllabus mock that started those and initially I was scoring okay 140 130 150 but after that I had like a really bad streak where around three to four papers my marks did not cross 100 at all the all my peers are scoring higher they have growth meanwhile I'm just stagnated at what 80 90 marks so that almost made me just be like I am done with this I don't want to do this anymore I can't that would be you could say the worst point in the prep
and during all of this phase When did you hear about Phodu Club? And more important uh more importantly who told you about Phodu Club like was it your teacher or did you watch any video or did any of your friends mentioned Phodu Club like how did you find out about us?
Right. So after the first attempt of JEE Mains in January few of my friends ended up joining and then they were like suhan if you're going to give bits this is uh kind of the best resource online. So you could consider it. I think I joined around what February 14th 15th February around midFebruary. I researched a little bit watched the videos of the YouTube channel and my friends recommended it. So I joined around that time midFebruary.
And can you just tell us how was your overall experience with Phodu Club? Like how did Phodu Club help you in your overall bits or j preparation? Can you just give us an overview about that?
Right. So I had bought the ultimate crash course, the one with all the lectures, tests, everything. So it even had a schedule for like covering almost everything in a month. So it was very structured. That was the first thing that came to my mind cuz I was confused. Bits is this unpredictable exam where you know absolutely nothing. There's two subjects you haven't touched in the last two years. So there was a proper schedule for all that and the assignments and tests. Even online people said uh outside of the Phodu Club group itself or other communities online people said that the assignments were relevant. So I felt like I had a place to start the initial starting uncertainty was gone and the material itself was high enough quality or relevant enough that I did feel okay now I do understand this concept better. It gave me a quite a lot of confidence.
Okay. Yeah. I mean English and LR we have never done so that does make it scary. That's true. And would you recommend Phodu Club to the people who are preparing for bits and you know to your juniors? Did you find Phodu Club relevant enough for that?
Uh most definitely especially the mocks and the community aspect of it I'd say because the mocks are where you can test yourself in a way. You can check if whatever prep you're direct like current direction of your prep you can check if you're headed on the right paths if your scores keep increasing in the mocks. if you don't repeat the same mistakes. So, Phodu Club had enough mocks for that that I can experiment, see what works for me and the community helps you guide better as well. So, definitely I'd recommend it.
