210 to 278 between BITSAT attempts, guided by time splits
So like the mocks were really relevant and when I was giving my uh bits exam it was feeling like it was another mock test only and not some another exam.
01 · The journey JEE first, BITS discovered late
Karan spent most of classes 11 and 12 preparing for JEE at a local coaching centre, and only learned about BITSAT around November or December of class 12. Because that centre specialised in JEE rather than BITS, he enrolled in the crash course separately for BITS-specific prep.
02 · The turning point A low first attempt, then a second chance
His first BITSAT score demotivated him, but he treated the second attempt as a fresh chance instead of dwelling on the first. The same pattern showed up in JEE prep: low mocks hurt, and he had to console himself into improving the next one.
03 · What worked Time splits and replica questions
He chose the platform after reading reviews that praised the mock level. His favourite feature is the post-test time-management split, which showed he was spending too long on mathematics. In the real paper he met three or four questions that matched recent mocks closely enough that the exam felt like another mock.
Time management split
Showed where minutes were going — for him, too much into mathematics.
Mock relevance
Questions close enough to the real paper that the exam felt like another mock.

Hi everyone, my name is Shria Fogla and I'm a student at BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus. Today with us we have one of our clubmates Karan. Okay.
So Karan, would you like to introduce yourself to our audience? Hi, I am Karan from Delhi. So I scored 210 marks in my BITSAT examination in April attempt and for the May attempt I scored uh 278.
I also gave the uh JEE Mains examination in which I got 98 percentile in my first attempt and improved a little in the next uh I got 98.5 in my April attempt and for G advance I scored I got 15,000 rank in G advance. Okay. All of that is commendable.
Like the jump you made from session one to session two that is like really hard for everyone to do in general. a 60 marks jump is like really really close. Okay.
So my second question to you would be uh how was your preparation in 111 12th? Would you like to describe your journey of the two years to our audience? Uh so basically I started my uh preparation in 11th mostly keeping in J in mind J e in mind and not bits examination bits exam because I was not uh much aware about bits.
It was only in November, December in 12th that I got to know about the bits exam and therefore I later enrolled in um Phodu Club uh crash course. So I did mostly my two years uh in uh local coaching classes uh at NSP center pampura. uh the reason I chose uh not to continue my bits preparation with my that local coaching because they did not focus much on bits exam rather they specialized more on J means and advanced preparation that's why I decided uh that it would be wise toh take another coaching for my bits preparation we're glad that you chose us for your preparation so like dear During your two years of preparation, did you have any low points where you felt like you weren't you you can't continue or you weren't able to cope with your studies or you felt demotivated in general?
And if yes, then how did you come out of this phase? Uh so the the demotivation thing uh I got uh like demotivated and sad when after my BITSAT first attempt because I my score was really low in the first attempt. Uh but then later I also realized there is a second attempt and chance to improve.
So instead of focusing on things on past uh I should uh focus on the uh next attempt instead uh like thinking about my bad marks. also for uh J uh during my J preparation uh there were uh many low points uh in like uh when I scored uh low marks in my mock test but then later I had to console myself and motivate myself uh to score better and uh improve uh in the next mock tests. Okay, that's really nice.
uh why did you choose Phodu Club for your bits preparation like there are a lot of resources available how did you find out about Phodu Club and why did you choose us so uh for Phodu Club I did my research on internet and I had uh read many uh reviews on the internet so they were mostly praising the quality of the mock test and all so I decided I should take uh their mock mock test series and also the other uh mock test series uh which I had uh encountered with were either uh really hard uh in comparison to bits hat or uh really easy but uh Phodu Club mocks were on the par in in level to the actual bits examination so uh that was a plus point so Yeah. Yeah. So you means you researched on the internet and found us through the internet.
Okay. So my last question to you would be what has been your most favorite feature for throughout the entire test series? Like it can be like subject analysis, AI like AI analysis or like some type of course or subject or crash course what whatever it can be like.
What was your favorite part of the test series? Uh my favorite part uh like was the uh time management split that we get after attempting a mock test. So basically it tells us the area we are spending more time like for me it was mathematics I was spending too much time there and for other subjects like chemistry I was doing that under 20 minutes or 30 minutes.
So that was a good insight that I got to know through the analysis section. Uh the time management uh was this really improved my time management uh for my future mock tests. That's really nice to hear like because time management also plays a very vital role in the exam.
So through that split you were able to understand where to cut time and where to give more time that improves your accuracy and like lessens your mistakes. Okay. So like would you recommend our test series to your juniors and did you think that the mock test that we g were relevant to the real paper like the paper you got in the exam?
So uh for the mock test I would highly recommend uh Phodu Club mock test series uh along with a crash course if required. uh the mock test I found were really relevant and also uh like uh during my actual bits paper I uh encountered three to four exact same replica questions that I had seen in the mock test like just 3 4 days ago of that was my last mock test before the actual exam. So like the mocks were really relevant and when I was giving my uh bits exam it was feeling like it was another mock test only and not some another exam.
So yeah the the level of mocks and actual paper was uh equal and yeah okay thank you so much for your valuable feedback. Thank you for your time today. It was really nice talking to
