AIR 172 after free mock interviews found on Reddit

Hello everyone, I am Neil from IIIT Hyderabad and here we have Souptik. He's one of our clubmates and he has scored an all India rank of 172 in UGEE. So firstly congratulations Souptik and now can you please introduce yourself to the audience?

Hi everyone, I am Souptik. So I belong from Bardhaman small town of West Bengal. So I have scored an all India rank of 172 in UGEE as uh Neil said.

So I began my 11th and 12th like a normal J aspirant. Uh I studied only for J. So as we all know in 11th we have very uh much motivation.

So I also had large motivation and thought I will uh secure under thousand means delusion you can say. So yeah, I kept working hard and hard but in uh near the 11th end there came a valley. So uh that time I got slightly demotivated and was not uh feeling uh uh towards working uh my J preparation.

So again uh you must not feel demotivated and must uh continue in journey despite the setbacks also. So then I uh 12th started uh normally uh 12th also I had slightly less hope but towards the end when I started giving full syllabus mock so uh my uh motivation again returned. So like that I uh gave the jmen's first attempt in January and I scored 99.47 percentile.

So around this time I uh saw a video of Phodu Club on YouTube like what is UGEE, what is IIIT Hyderabad. So that time I came to know about IIIT Hyderabad and this UGEE this separate exam. So I decided to uh fill the form uh and then uh I gave my JN second attempt and also I gave uh UGEE not that seriously.

So after that uh uh I was quite surprised to see that I uh qualified and uh after that uh I was scrolling uh Reddit one day and then I uh found uh you all know Kunal San uh so I found his post on Reddit uh uh about how Phodu Club will take free mock interviews for all those who have qualified UGEE. So I uh filled the form and uh got associated with Phodu Club. So uh here uh the mock interview they took it was uh quite relevant I should say.

Uh they also formed a group with uh all uh the other students who were in the program and uh each student I can say got uh different questions means uh the questions were also not uh the usual uh J type questions. They were actually they actually made you uh think uh it was very similar to the questions I was asked in actual interview. Okay.

So can you tell me where did you like hear about Phodu Club for the first time and how did you come across it? Okay so I uh heard about Phodu Club from uh YouTube for the first time. uh there was a video of uh what is IIIT Hyderabad, how is the college and etc.

and also on Reddit I found after qualifying UGEE. Okay. So, so can you tell me what did you like about Phodu Club?

I should say seniors means uh they gave students as our mentors. So they definitely gave us tips and uh helped us uh for the interview uh like uh what posture uh we should maintain and some general etiquets of uh interview. So I definitely liked that.

Okay. So Sik is there anything else that you would like to share with the audience? Some tips that you would want to give it to people?

Yes, I should say uh in your uh journey uh you must not get demotivated as uh near 11th and uh I uh told uh you all how much demotivated uh I had got and was nearly about to quit my Journey but uh didn't quit due to my parents support. So yeah uh remain positive throughout your journey. You never know what you will achieve at last.

And uh definitely give UGEE uh it uh helped me as my uh Jmen's advanc rank was uh 6.9K. So I would not get any uh good branch in the old IIT. So definitely uh UGEE uh uh acted as my backup.
