He built a spreadsheet after every test and reviewed the questions from hard-and-slow through to easy-and-fast.
03 · What worked Patterns that turned up in the exam
His first BITSAT attempt had gone badly on English, so he worked through the free daily English questions and began recognising patterns that repeated. He was scoring around 280 in mocks and was not confident of going higher. In the actual paper he found questions repeated from the mocks in both logical reasoning and English, and finished on 327.

Uh, hello, I'm Sathvik. I scored uh score of around 327 in BITSAT, second attempt, not first one. So, I'm from Hyderabad.

Oh, yes. My JEE scores uh JEE Advanced was around 4,500 something. And my main score was around 15,000 something.
Going back to your 8th class, 11th and 12th period, you know, for a second because uh we really want to know how was your preparation like. So, how do you describe that whole period honestly, class 11th and 12th?
So, basically in 11th, like I had foundation in the starting. My parents wanted me to go to foundation, so I went and 11th was pretty easy, but then in 12th, it was a little level was up. And we had to do more questions and more problems. Basically, we were in hostel, like Hyderabad hostel, like Chaitanya Desa. So, it was very rigorous. But it was like we had no breaks and everything. So, by the end, I was basically burnt out. And so, before first at like Mains first attempt, I was very confident I could do it. And I went in confident, but pura upar niche ho gaya tha udhar. And then even BITSAT first attempt went bad and basically all the exams after that. And finally, after Advance, I took like FIITJEE subscription. I had found FIITJEE because of UG. I was searching for UG mocks. Basically, there was nothing. Uh Initially, I was planning to take FIITJEE as for UG UG mocks, but I didn't take it at that time because I didn't know what to do and I was like burnt [clears throat] out pura low point method of that means first attempt about So I at the end after advance I took like Phodu Club a subscription and a five marks pura liquor and I basically followed that like video they cut out many Phodu Club car this may war a system bullet a tagging car key So basically we have to tag like a hard questions easy questions and questions we made mistakes on questions we did very fast questions we did very easy. So I basically made an Excel sheet after every exam and like reviewed all the questions all the questions from like hard and slow from till easy and fast all the questions Every day I used to write one mark five marks pura liquor after advance I was like not confident to even get around or above I was getting around 280 in each mark But after like when I went into the exam I saw like two questions being repeated from the marks like logical reasoning may question repeat over or English may question repeat over And basically I got extremely lucky and I scored around 327 and Phodu Club was also like extremely helpful That is that is
And after you joined Phodu Club what was the thing that clicked for you as in what was the best thing you found in Phodu Club where you were like oh this is something I needed for my preparation it's really helping
Yeah Yeah I I was like in my BITSAT first attempt my English went very bad So I was I wanted very like decent English questions and what type of questions are used to like in the exam, what type of questions there are and what can come. So I was like looking at the free daily questions and each day I like there was a new question. But even in there there were like some patterns repeating so I could understand these patterns and this came in the exam. So like it is extremely relevant.
Okay, that's very interesting. And one final question that I would like to ask you is what would you uh tell anybody who is sitting at the fence of deciding where whether they should join Phodu Club or not so as to crack the exam.
As for the exam, I would say go for it because I felt the mocks were like extremely relevant. Basically questions are same in the exam and mocks. So you should just get it. I didn't test like other mock test series or I can't comment about it. But Phodu Club was extremely relevant and I found questions similar questions same questions in fact in the mock tests. So you have to like take it from me. Don't even think about it.
