Hello Ruchita. First, tell us your name, where are you from, and what are your scores?
I'm Ruchita. I'm from Nagpur. I studied in Yashoda High School Secondary High School, and my BITSAT score in the second attempt was 304, and in first attempt it was 234. My JEE Mains percentile first attempt was between 98.2 to 98.3% and in second attempt it was 99.735. My JEE Advanced rank was 8673.
Okay, those are some really nice scores. And cool, so so walk me through your 11th and 12th time when, you know, the preparation phase was there. What was the whole phase like for you?
So, it's like for me, I started my 11th like every other aspirant, the basic stuff, the things went on smooth initially. Then, obviously, ups and downs comes. The scores were fluctuating. Sometimes they were good, sometimes they were really bad. Even sometimes in a few subjects it would even go in negatives, but the things kept going. I improved in my 12th because basically it helped my my 12th basically compounded my 11th scores. That was the key. The maths which we learned in 12th helped to improve my 11th physics and especially maths also with practice I got improved. Especially after JEE Mains first attempt, my maths improved. It was very poor till then, and 12th went on like really fast, like we completed the syllabus revisions, and then after January to May it went like in a flash, like blink of an eye. So, yeah, it was like smooth, but ups and downs were all obviously there.
Just like any other preparation, but yeah. So, like there was some there would be some point where you felt like nothing is working out, right? Like everybody has this point in their uh of preparation. So, I would like to know where it was for you and what it was.
So, for basically, it was after my JEE Mains first attempt. Uh the thing I scored very below my expectation because I was scoring good in mocks. So, after that I was like, "Oh, I was clear." I felt devastated, like, "What is this? I didn't expect this to be this low." So, I was very disheartened and I just as I I completed this, there were several other exams with that first attempt, other MHT CET attempts, and then most importantly the boards which we were not prepared as a JEE aspirant because uh we never studied for boards. Uh so, it was a very tough challenge studying because I belong to Maharashtra state board, especially studying subjects like English and CS especially. It was very difficult for me at that point because at the same time I was disheartened and I have to make sure that I go everything well because at the end for to get into BITS also you need the 75% criteria. So, it was like a sword on my sword line. So, yeah, that was the lowest point of my journey.
Uh okay. So, uh how did Phodu Club find its way to you? As in, what's the story there? Why did you find Phodu Club? How did you find Phodu Club?
So, before my JEE Mains first attempt, I was very much focused into JEE JEE JEE JEE stuff. But as I told my first attempt didn't go well, so it was then when I started, you know, exploring more. Then and it's when the Phodu Club came into picture. My father suggested me Phodu Club He researched on it and like saw like, "Yeah, the in the market the best one which we could get was Phodu Club" considering how it was designed and it fitted me like the my the needs which were my needs perfectly. So, we got Phodu Club and after my first attempt of JEE, I started you watching the LR and English lectures especially because I was you know, well acquainted with PCM. So, I was I needed more to focus on LR and English. So, I focused on that section. After I complete I did that during my boards phase, the L R and English lectures. And as soon as the I got a gap, I started giving mock test on Phodu Club. And the mock test was one which helped me because you need speed for BITSAT, which is different. So the continual mock test helped me a lot.
