98.8 in MHT-CET in a 25-day window after boards

MHT-CET 98.8 %ile best of two
So it helped me prepare for the worst like for the difficult questions that came in physics and chemistry.
Pradnya, verbatim from the interview above

01 · The journey JEE first, then a switch to CET

Pradnya started as a JEE-oriented student. Class 11 was tough — especially maths — and by December before JEE Main she wanted to switch to CET, but her parents convinced her to try JEE first. After boards she moved to CET with about twenty-five days left.

02 · The turning point A compressed revision plan

In that window she revised class 11 formulas and concepts lightly (low weightage), worked previous-year questions, and sat as many tests as she could. A friend pointed her to the test series after the first CET attempt, and she bought it for the second.

03 · What worked Mocks that prepared for the hard paper

What she values is that some mocks were tough and unpredictable — the same way the real paper can swing. That, she says, helped her prepare for the worst in physics and chemistry rather than assuming an easy paper.

Tough mocks

Harder papers that trained her for an unpredictable real CET.

Hello, I'm Pradnya and I scored 98.8% at MHT CET the best of two marks, best of two score and I'm from Mumbai. Were you a J student or from starting only you were prepared for MSC? No, I was a J oriented student but after the first attempt and during the board I realized I should switch to MSC.

Okay. just take us back to your 11th and 12th and just tell how was your 11th and 12th like what were your up and downs and how did you handle them? Okay.

So, uh like every day aspirant I had joined a coaching in 11th and I'd say 11th was a bit tough for me because so many new concepts and especially maths was a little tough for me but I tried to manage through chemistry and yeah so basically the class notes were there helping me in 12th or 11th and 12th was a little better in terms of physics and chemistry and maths. So yes. Cool.

In this your whole journey at any point of time did you feel like quitting or like things are not working as you should? Yes, absolutely. Like during uh when the first attempt of J was coming nearby like in December, I felt like I should just switch to C at that point.

But then my parents convinced me to give it a try for jail. So I did not really quit but I tried my best. I gave my best for J.

And then I switched to C after boards, HS boards. Okay. In your last days of C preparation, how did you study?

Like after boards, I had only around like uh 25 days to prepare for C. So I did a quick uh revision of 11th grade chapters. Like in C 11 grade chapters don't have a lot of weightage, only 10 questions per subject.

So I went through all the formulas, the important formulas, the important concepts, solve the PQS and gave lot of tests and I got to know about Phodu Club test series uh through my friend uh after this first attempt. So I purchased it after the first attempt for the second attempt and since even my second attempt was like really close by so I couldn't give all the tests but I I tried to give as many as possible. So yeah series and TQS were my main preparation and also HSD textbook for chemistry.

Okay then just tell me what did Phodu Club contributed differently that helped you so much. Okay so basically sometimes paper could be tough or really easy and you cannot really predict it. It could be unpredictable.

So some few tests of club were kind of tough and you could not uh like you know predict. So it helped me prepare for the worst like for the difficult questions that came in physics and chemistry. So yeah, it also helped me like you know not to spend a lot of time on those difficult questions and move on to the next questions.

So it really helped me in managing my time as well more efficiently and some tests were easy as well. Yes. And some tests were easy as well to boost your confidence.

So yes, so it wasn't like completely tough or completely easy. It was I'd say a mix of both. So it tested help much.

Yes. And anything else? Uh I think the group that with the mentors group also really helped because like after the C for the counseling and all you have contacts with your seniors from VJTI from CO so it does help because you are like really confused about the branches and which college to choose.

So being in contact with seniors does help a lot. Okay. One last thing.

If someone is confused about to join whether to join the Phodu Club or not, then what would you say to him or her? I'd say yeah, you could join it for uh the unpredictable part of it and also uh yeah, I would say to join them. Okay.

Preparing for MHT-CET and want a test series built around the real exam pattern?
