Registration and Payment of Fee for Counselling

  • Visit the COMEDK website and log in using your Applicant Login ID.
  • Click on the ‘Counselling Registration’ Tab.
  • Review your details carefully and pay a fee of INR 2000.
  • Upload all the mandatory documents required for verification.
  • Once the screen shows ‘successful payment’, log in again to participate in Counselling.

Option Entry and Locking

  • After successful payment, login and click on ‘Option Entry’.
  • Choose whether you want to select colleges or courses first.
  • Click on ‘Add Preference’ to choose your preferred colleges and courses.
  • Make sure your chosen colleges and courses appear under ‘Selected Preferences’.
  • Arrange your preferences in order, with your most preferred option at the top.
  • Click ‘Save’ to confirm your preferences.
  • Click ‘Preview’ to see your chosen options. You can remove any college or course using the ‘remove’ button next to it.
  • Once you’re happy with your list, click ‘Save’ and print a copy for your reference.

COMEDK Mock Allotment

  • Based on your preferences, COMEDK will allot you colleges and courses in a mock round.
  • You can review your mock allotment by logging in and clicking on ‘Counselling Process’.
  • Check your allotted college, course, and preference number.
  • If you want to make changes to your list, click on ‘Option Entry’ and edit your preferences.
  • Once you’re done, click ‘Save’ and print a copy for your reference.

Allotment of Seats

  • Seat allotment is based on your COMEDK rank and your preferences submitted during online counselling and Mock Allotment.
  • The final seat allotment will be done at the offline Counselling held in Bangalore.
  • At the venue, be prepared for document verification, registration, seat allocation, fee payment, and collection of your Allotment Letter.
  • Keep your Allotment Letter safe – no duplicates will be issued.

Post Seat Allotment choices for the Candidates

After seat allotment, you have four options:

  • Accept: This confirms your allotted seat. You cannot participate in further rounds of counselling. Pay INR 50,000 and report to the college for document verification.
  • Accept and Upgrade: This confirms your allotted seat, but you can still participate in the second round hoping for a higher preference. Pay INR 50,000 and report to the college for document verification. If you don’t get a higher preference, you keep your allotted seat.
  • Reject and Upgrade: Give up your allotted seat to participate in the second round for a better option. Pay INR 50,000 and report to the college you get allotted in the second round for document verification.
  • Reject and Withdraw: Give up your allotted seat and don’t participate in further rounds of counselling.

Document Verification & Allotment Letter

This step applies only to students who selected ‘Accept’ after the first round.

  • Download the Verification Entry Card from the ‘Documents required for Verification’ tab in your COMEDK Login.
  • After document verification, you will receive the original Allotment Letter at the venue.
  • Report to the allotted college within the specified timeframe mentioned in the letter.

By following these steps carefully, you can successfully navigate the COMEDK Counselling procedure and secure your seat in your preferred college.
